The Vietnam Hanoi Textile and Garment Industry Expo is hosted by Hong Kong Huajin Company. This exhibition focuses on showcasing various technologies, machinery, and accessories in the clothing industry. Due to the expected import tariffs imposed by the United States on different Chinese products (including clothing), its orders will gradually shift to other Asian countries. So Vietnam will need to import more fabrics and clothing accessories to meet its growing order demand. This exhibition is the largest event in the fabric, textile, and garment industries in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Since the 1990s, the exhibition has been successfully held for 30 sessions in SAIGONTEX and HANOITEX, respectively. The exhibition received strong support from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Commerce, VINATEX, VITAS, and AGTEK. For many years, HanoiTex has been known for providing exhibitors with a large number of high-quality buyers.
Market analysis:
70% of Vietnam's fabrics and raw materials rely on imports to meet production needs. Vietnam estimates that its textile and garment exports in 2019 will reach 34 billion US dollars, an increase of 10% from 2017. However, locally produced fabrics and raw materials in Vietnam can only meet 30% of its production needs, and no less than 6.1 billion meters of fabrics and other clothing accessories need to be imported from other regions every year.
Hanoi Vietnam Emerging Garment Manufacturing Base: The power, production, and land costs in northern Vietnam (including Hanoi) are lower than those in Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding areas. With strong encouragement from the Vietnamese government, Hanoi has become an important textile and garment manufacturing base in northern Vietnam. Various overseas and local enterprises have set up textile and garment factories in northern Vietnam (Hanoi).
Vietnam needs to import a large amount of textile and garment machinery: With increasing orders from Vietnam to the United States, the European Union, South Korea, Japan, and other countries, Vietnam estimates that its textile and garment exports in 2019 will reach 34 billion US dollars, an increase of 10% from 2017. Currently, overseas and Vietnamese textile and garment factories are continuously investing in machinery and technology to enhance their productivity.
